At-home facials, experimental mani/pedi’s, sappy movies.. that’s what girls just need in their lives sometimes. Tonight, the roommate, homie, and I opted to sit out 1964 and self-pamper at home instead.
We started out with some sample products, trying to evaluate if any are worthy of full-size purchase. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser was mild and light. Just enough to give us a fresh base to move forward. Next was Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque for some clay toxin sucking action. Applied, let dry for about 10 minutes or so, took some photobooth pictures of the green monsters we became, then washed off. After that we tried the Luichel Clarifying Peeling Mask. OK ladies, THIS PRODUCT IS A KEEPER. Unanimously the favorite product of the evening. Fellas, don’t be intimidated to try it. Apply it in a circular motion across all areas of the face, especially that T zone, and dead skin cells will start to accumulate on your fingertips and around the face. Yuck, but at least you know it’s working. Rinse and your skin is baby bottom smooth. Amazing. Next, Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner. I thought it was ok, but still prefer my Borghese toner. Then Sephora’s shake-it-yourself Hydration Mask for 10 minutes. Used the excess on hands and feet as directed. Finished off with some Borghese age-defying eye cream and facial night cream.
Face is soft, supple, and ultra hydrated.

After the facials, it was mani/pedi time. Filed nails into the ever hip round tip. Color: Essie polish in Luxedo. Topped off with some gold speckle powder and NYC fast-drying topcoat.

Paired with two girly, romancy movies, bag of kettlecorn, and gossipy banter rounds off quite the ultimate Girl’s Night IN.
